Production Planner (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Create and manage production schedules aligned with customer demand and operational capacity.
• Raise work orders, manage MRP messages, and maintain product master data and ERP lifecycle phases.
• Monitor schedule adherence, lead times, on-time delivery, inventory health, and cost drivers.
• Coordinate recovery plans for overdue orders and reconcile the sales order book with inventory, revenue, and customer expectations.
• Develop master production plans, manage finished-goods inventory policies, and coordinate engineering change requests.
• Lead the SiOP process across a 3–18 month horizon, act as deputy to the Supply Chain Manager, and coach team members.

Requirements

• Degree-level education or equivalent workplace experience or qualifications.
• Experience in manufacturing supply chain, production planning, and lean methodology.
• Strong data-analysis skills and experience using an ERP system, including material requirements planning.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting scheduling conflicts and resource constraints.
• Ability to interpret bills of materials and configured product structures, with strong communication and relationship-management skills.

Nice to have

• APICS certification.
• Six Sigma Green Belt training or an equivalent lean qualification.
• Agile leadership experience and the ability to act as a change agent.
