Summer Intern -- Cyber Security

Location: Taylor, Texas, United States; onsite only

Salary: $23–$31 per hour

What you will do

• Support cyber security projects, assessments, research, and operational activities.
• Identify, analyze, document, and help remediate cyber security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Review security alerts, events, trends, and security-related data.
• Support security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, security engineering, architecture, and governance activities.
• Develop security documentation, procedures, standards, inventories, reports, metrics, and technical guidance.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security, Information Technology, and business teams; prepare and present project findings and recommendations.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• No minimum work experience is required.
• Basic understanding of cyber security concepts and principles.
• Basic knowledge of networks and IT systems.
• Must be available to work onsite; remote work is not available for interns.
• Availability for 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, during the summer internship period.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Completion of at least the sophomore year for undergraduate applicants.
• Graduate-level study is also encouraged.
