Infrastructure & Security Analyst II

Location: Texarkana, Texas, United States; on-site campus support required

What you will do

• Monitor enterprise network and infrastructure performance and resolve complex wired, wireless, telecommunications, and service-disruption issues.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain switches, wireless infrastructure, firewalls, network appliances, servers, virtualization, cloud, storage, backup, and endpoint systems.
• Support vulnerability management, security monitoring, incident response, access reviews, multifactor authentication, and privileged access controls.
• Maintain network topology diagrams, inventories, system configurations, technical standards, and operational documentation.
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery, backup validation, business continuity, testing, and technology refresh projects.
• Provide Tier II and escalation support, technical consultation, requirements assessment, and coordination with campus departments, vendors, service providers, and TAMUS Cybersecurity Shared Services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least three years of related experience.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting, problem-solving, client relations, requirements analysis, project management methodologies, IT service management, and ITIL principles.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to multitask and work cooperatively.
• Eligibility to work in the United States is required at the time of hire; pre-employment sponsorship is not authorized.
• Availability for critical incidents outside normal business hours and on-site movement across campus facilities is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft, Palo Alto, VMware, Cisco, Entra ID, Ruckus, or Intune.
• Security+, Network+, CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto, or ITIL certifications.
• Knowledge of routing, switching, wireless communications, firewalls, network security, vulnerability management, incident response, risk management, and access control.
• Experience with servers, virtualization, cloud platforms, storage, backup solutions, and endpoint management.
