Clinical Injury Prevention Specialist, Athletic Trainer

Location: Onsite in Round Lake Beach, Illinois, United States. Part-time schedule of 20 hours per week across 3–5 consistent days, with at least one weekly shift overlapping 2–3 hours with the 5:00 PM–5:00 AM employee shift.

Salary: $33.20–$41.50 per hour. Eligible for a sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and implement early-intervention programs, including musculoskeletal examinations, first aid aligned with OSHA standards, and injury-prevention education.
• Conduct physical-demand and ergonomic assessments, identify high-risk tasks, and recommend preventive workplace strategies.
• Lead individual and group training in functional movement, job simulation, and injury prevention.
• Coordinate care and workplace countermeasures with on-site medical and safety teams.
• Document assessments, recommendations, outcomes, and patient health records accurately and promptly.
• Participate in meetings and task forces and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited professional Athletic Training education program.
• Current BOC Certified Athletic Trainer credential.
• Current hands-on Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification may be required depending on the contract scope of services.
• Experience in occupational health and safety and ergonomics.
• Knowledge of current OSHA regulations.

Nice to have

• Certification in a specialty area such as Ergonomic Specialty.
• Additional experience in ergonomics.
