Salary: $51,281.05–$64,096.04 per year

What you will do

• Provide medical, preventative, rehabilitative, and emergency care within legal and organizational requirements.
• Perform patient evaluations, obtain medical histories, conduct physical examinations, and coordinate treatment plans with attending physicians.
• Monitor treatment progress, arrange recommended equipment and therapies, and provide routine medical care such as dressing changes and suture or staple removal.
• Provide health education, triage patients, refer them to appropriate care sources, and maintain detailed injury and rehabilitation records.
• When assigned to a high school, provide athletic training coverage for interscholastic events and develop venue- and condition-specific emergency action plans.
• Coordinate with team physicians, community physicians, school nursing staff, and school personnel while supporting athletic training supplies and budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
• Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers certification or eligibility.
• Athletic Training license or eligibility to become licensed within six months of hire.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Automated External Defibrillator certification.
• Ability to make independent clinical decisions, communicate in high-pressure situations, organize multiple tasks, and lift up to 50 pounds.
