System Engineer (Network Security)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden; travel across Europe and occasionally the Middle East and Africa, with travel to the US required.

What you will do

• Provide technical and sales support for assigned accounts and channel partners.
• Deliver technical, product, and solution presentations for customers, partners, and prospects.
• Support formal sales plans, proposals, network designs, and equipment configuration.
• Lead proof-of-concept testing, RFP solution drafting, and competitor analysis.
• Create training materials and organize technical and promotional documentation.
• Provide remote and on-site customer support, including troubleshooting for key accounts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of pre-sales experience.
• Knowledge of Layer 4–7 protocols and technologies, including TCP, UDP, HTTP, DNS, and SSL/TLS.
• Strong Layer 2/Layer 3 networking expertise, including OSPF and BGP routing protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of virtualization, cloud-native technologies, application acceleration, DDoS mitigation, IPv4 preservation, IPv6 migration, and network and application security.
• Fluent Spanish and English, both spoken and written; availability for international travel is required.

Nice to have

• Competitive knowledge of Layer 4–7 switching solutions and technologies.
• Knowledge of mobile service provider and ISP technologies, including CGNAT, Gi/SGi Firewall, GTP Firewall, and DDoS Clean Pipe.
• Scripting experience with Shell or TCL and technical experience with Unix/Linux.
