Specialist Engineering Lead (Land Capability)

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary and specialty engineering teams supporting the Land Capability program.
• Plan, scope, estimate, deliver, monitor, and report on Specialty Engineering activities.
• Provide subject matter expertise across safety, security, Integrated Logistics Support, configuration and data management, and modelling and analysis.
• Support the integration, design, development, acceptance, deployment, and sustainment of communications systems.
• Lead technical investigations, resolve issues, manage risks, and provide specialist advice across the engineering lifecycle.
• Coordinate working groups and participate in product, project, and program reviews, testing, and quality assurance activities.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in systems engineering, including significant experience with complex and software-intensive systems.
• Relevant professional certification in systems engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, complex system integration, and systems engineering in an ASDEFCON context.
• Experience using advanced systems engineering software tools and simulation environments.
• Proven ability to mentor engineering teams and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Australian Defence Security Clearance – NV1 and ability to access ITAR-controlled information are required.
