Manufacturing Internship, Summer 2027

Location: Cincinnati Chemicals Plant, Cincinnati, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

Salary: $85,000–$122,200 per year

What you will do

• Lead or significantly contribute to projects focused on process optimization, loss elimination, and capability building.
• Develop engineering solutions that improve product designs, streamline processes, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance quality using data analytics and root cause analysis.
• Support web-processing, packaging-line optimization, 3D modeling, mechatronics, and new equipment integration.
• Support automation systems, industrial networks, robotics integration, digital manufacturing solutions, and control troubleshooting.
• Contribute to capital projects and initiatives involving capacity expansion, automation, and cost savings while supporting scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Help advance safety, quality, training, operational excellence, and adoption of digital solutions.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in engineering or a related technical discipline, such as mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, chemical, industrial and systems, manufacturing, or operations management.
• Expected graduation between Winter 2027 and Spring 2029.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and project execution skills.
• Availability for a 12-week internship between May and August 2027, with exact dates depending on placement and school schedule.
• Ability to relocate for the Summer 2027 internship and willingness to relocate throughout the career.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, process improvement, or automation through internships or academic projects.
• Familiarity with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Lean/Six Sigma, or project management concepts.
• Basic understanding of controls, automation, robotics, or industrial networks.
