What you will do

• Manage patient flow, room utilization, arrivals, delays, and provider availability in the outpatient setting.
• Prepare patients, exam rooms, medical records, and clinical supplies for provider visits.
• Record vital signs, pain levels, medication information, patient histories, and other clinical data.
• Assist providers and nursing staff with examinations, treatments, procedures, specimen collection, immunizations, and point-of-care testing.
• Coordinate diagnostic testing, surgical procedures, referrals, prior authorizations, interpreter services, and prescription renewal requests.
• Support billing documentation, electronic medical record updates, inventory management, quality improvement activities, and clinic administration.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant National Certification Attestation from AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA.
• Basic Life Support certification, or the ability to obtain it within three months.
• Less than two years of Medical Assistant experience; two years is preferred.
• Knowledge of EPIC and electronic medical record systems, along with basic computer and scheduling software skills.
• Ability to read, write, and spell in English for accurate documentation and message taking.
