Alternative Investments Analyst - Cigna Investment Management - Hybrid

Location: Bloomfield, CT, United States; hybrid work arrangement with days in office. Seasonal and ad-hoc travel of up to 20% may be required. If working from home, a cable broadband or fiber optic connection with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required.

Annual salary: $89,400–$149,000 USD, depending on experience and geographic location. Eligible for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Support sourcing, evaluation, underwriting, and execution of limited partnership fund commitments and direct co-investment opportunities.
• Analyze fund strategies, track records, market dynamics, and risk considerations to support investment decisions.
• Prepare investment reports, presentations, financial reporting, quarterly updates, and portfolio reviews.
• Review legal documents and coordinate negotiations with internal and external business partners.
• Monitor existing fund performance and maintain dialogue with general partners.
• Research private equity market trends and share insights that inform decision-making.

Requirements

• BA/BS in finance, accounting, or another quantitative field.
• 5+ years of overall business or investment experience, including 3+ years of relevant experience in credit, private equity, or alternative investments.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Technical proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity, and comfort navigating ambiguity.
• Ability to accommodate seasonal and ad-hoc travel of up to 20%.
• As an Access Person of Cigna Investments, Inc., compliance with personal trading requirements and restrictions under the Code of Ethics is required.
