IT Technician

Location: Frascati, Italy; onsite five days per week. Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.

Salary: €30,000–€35,000 per year.

hirify.global provides workforce management and IT support services for the European Space Agency’s IT Department.

What you will do

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and administer fixed telephony services, handsets, extensions, hunt groups, and PABX infrastructure.
• Provide end-user support for telephony, Windows and Mac devices, mobile phones, smartphones, printing facilities, and approved client applications.
• Perform onsite network and data-centre patching, equipment installation, cabling, replacement, decommissioning, and disposal activities.
• Provide hands-and-eyes support for Network Operations and Engineering teams, including physical inspections and remote connectivity setup.
• Manage IT, telephony, and network assets, stock, shipments, spare parts, inventories, cabling records, DCIM, and asset-management databases.
• Coordinate with service providers, third-party suppliers, facility management, and end users during incidents, upgrades, events, deployments, and maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Vocational training in Information Technology or a similar subject.
• At least five years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience supporting Windows OS and Mac OS client devices and troubleshooting LAN, WiFi, networks, printing facilities, and mobile devices.
• Experience with IT documentation, reporting, asset management, and infrastructure lifecycle tracking.
• Availability to work onsite five days per week and eligibility to work in the EU.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a similar subject.
• Experience with O365, SAP, Adobe, MS Office, encryption tools, or other approved client applications.
• Experience working in an international environment.
• Fluent French.
