Customer Service Representative - IB (Insurance)

Salary: $45,000–$50,000 per year, depending on experience; bonus-eligible with a target incentive of 5%.

What you will do

• Handle incoming and outbound client calls, document requests, research issues, complete forms, and follow up on open items.
• Work with customers and insurance carriers to resolve claims and service issues.
• Support annual open enrollment renewals, including options and alternative carriers.
• Assist with billing and accounting tasks, including delinquent accounts, billing discrepancy reports, and billing corrections.
• Support account executives, sales producers, new business implementation, and customer changes.
• Conduct outreach, renewal, retention, courtesy, and cancellation follow-up calls while maintaining client and carrier relationships.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of insurance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current insurance license or willingness to obtain one.
• Comfort using internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
• Strong verbal, written, organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations and adapt to changing priorities.
