Operations Support Representative (Insurance)

What you will do

• Provide customer service and operational support to independent insurance agents by phone, email, and in person.
• Follow up on service requests, research agent statuses with insurance carriers, and communicate with carriers to resolve issues.
• Use Microsoft Excel reports and update certification and onboarding information in RAMS.
• Assist agents with ordering supplies, contracting, licensing, and new business activities.
• Train new hires, temporary employees, and current staff during cross-training.
• Handle additional operational duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of insurance and agent relationships.
• Beginner-level working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and at least one year of Microsoft Office experience.
• At least one year of customer service and/or data entry experience.
• Strong phone communication, customer service, computer, and typing skills.
• Ability to multitask, follow directions, maintain a positive attitude, and work effectively with others.
