Branch Manager Trainee

Location: Bluefield, West Virginia, United States — onsite at a retail shop

What you will do

• Complete all hirify.global training modules covering the industry, customers, organization, branch operations, and professional development.
• Support branch performance across sales, budgeting, gross margins, operating expenses, safety, customer service, inventory, and accounts receivable.
• Coordinate with territory sales personnel to grow market sales and margins.
• Process customer inquiries and orders, including computer entry, pre-calling, order pulling, packaging, and receiving.
• Reconcile cash, bank deposits, open orders, quotes, purchase orders, and order-edit reports.
• Support associate safety, health, welfare, and personnel issue resolution while maintaining prompt and professional service.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent college training and experience may be considered.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, communicate professionally, and organize work effectively.
• Knowledge of financial accounting concepts, including gross margin, operating income, ROI, P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, administrative accuracy, and professional phone skills.
• Basic knowledge of welding products, safety, gases, and supplies is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP.
• Forklift experience.
