Location: Burbank, California, United States. This is an onsite manufacturing role. Access to controlled data may be required, and only US Persons will be considered where applicable under ITAR requirements.
Salary: $104,000–$135,900 per year, with potential eligibility for performance-based bonus programs.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components for aerospace and defense applications, including aircraft, satellites, missiles, unmanned aerial systems, and medical systems.
What you will do
- Lead and direct production employees across electronic assembly and related operations, potentially across multiple shifts.
- Maintain a safe working environment, uphold quality standards, and meet customer demand schedules within cost goals.
- Use lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools to improve production efficiency and mentor employees.
- Review daily KPIs, identify gaps to plan, and lead root-cause problem solving using methods such as 5 Why, 8 Step, Cause and Effect, and Fishbone analysis.
- Allocate resources, support labor planning and budgeting, and coordinate with value stream managers and other functional groups.
- Make staffing decisions and coach, mentor, and develop employees through performance planning.
Requirements
- 3+ years of supervisory experience and 5+ years of experience in the field or a related area.
- Knowledge of basic electronic components, circuitry, ESD awareness, and schematic diagram interpretation.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 electronic workmanship acceptability criteria.
- Understanding of cellular manufacturing and continuous improvement practices, including standard work, 5S, and material replenishment.
- Ability to align customer demand with manufacturing capacity, plan labor allocations, and use data to determine root causes.
- High school diploma or equivalent; intermediate MS Office skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in electronics communications engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or operations management.
- Previous aerospace or electronics manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with web-based software.
