Associate Principal – Education & Science

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; projects are primarily in Georgia and neighboring states, with potential international opportunities.

What you will do

• Guide the vision and growth strategy for the Education and Science sector in Georgia and the surrounding region.
• Develop capture plans, build client relationships, prepare qualifications and proposals, and lead pursuit strategy, interviews, and contract negotiations.
• Serve as Principal-in-Charge or Project Manager and oversee projects from initiation through close-out.
• Manage project quality, technical delivery, budgets, forecasts, schedules, staffing, and resource alignment across multiple teams.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams while coordinating clients, stakeholders, and internal groups.
• Develop conference presentations, contribute to thought leadership, and represent hirify.global in industry forums.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience with higher education architecture projects.
• Proven experience leading higher education, science, or research portfolios, including client development and repeat business.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning, leadership, and client relationship skills.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and experience managing large-scale priorities and complex projects or programs.
• Established or emerging network in the Georgia market; local candidates are preferred.
• Ability to lead sustainable and regenerative design strategies, including low-carbon design, LEED, SDGs, Living Building Challenge, Fitwel, WELL, or the AIA Framework for Design Excellence.
