Principal Product Manager, Platform (Cloud Data Platform)

Location: Portland, Oregon, or remote in the US and EU time zones.

What you will do

• Collaborate with engineering and product leadership on the core platform roadmap covering reliability, scalability, authentication, console architecture, provisioning, and operator experience.
• Drive platform product decisions that make customer journey loops faster and easier while supporting future product options.
• Lead platform investments in agentic readiness, architectural AI workflows, and customer-facing support for emerging technologies.
• Implement and improve a cross-functional software development life cycle that keeps Sales Engineering and Customer Success aligned on platform changes.
• Connect platform investments to customer outcomes and business metrics through clear product narratives.
• Define and track metrics including onboarding time, support escalation rate, operational incident volume, and time-to-value.

Requirements

• Extensive product management experience with data or analytics platforms, data warehouse or transformation tooling, infrastructure, or developer- and operator-facing products.
• Strong technical foundation in distributed systems, data infrastructure, or cloud platforms, with the ability to discuss scope and sequencing trade-offs with engineering.
• Significant experience developing platforms in an Enterprise SaaS or cloud data company.
• Experience building operational processes, communication rhythms, and cross-functional templates in an engineering-led organization.
• Experience with columnar databases, time-series data, distributed or cloud compute platforms, or log and event data platforms.
• Experience implementing platforms and architectural scaffolding for modern AI solutions and customer-ready agentic workflows.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, SaaS multi-tenancy, or Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Experience helping an enterprise company transition from high-touch delivery to self-service or product-led growth.
