Fleet Supervisor

Location: San Francisco, United States; on-site

What you will do

• Oversee daily shift operations, monitor driver schedules and vehicle locations, and respond to traffic delays, accidents, and mechanical issues.
• Assign drivers to routes to optimize vehicle and driver utilization and minimize idle time.
• Coordinate communication with drivers, operations management, and other company staff by phone, text, and other channels.
• Track KPIs including on-time delivery, fuel efficiency, and safety performance.
• Maintain shift records covering assignments, vehicle movements, and incidents.
• Analyze operational data, implement process improvements, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced transportation or logistics environment; supervisory experience is preferred.
• Understanding of GPS tracking systems, dispatch software, and related technologies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Gmail and the ability to learn additional applications and software.
• Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, especially Thursday through Sunday.

Nice to have

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or a related field.
• Previous supervisory experience.
