Dispatch Supervisor (Transportation Logistics)

Location: Niagara Falls, New York, USA; onsite transportation operations.

Salary: $73,807–$101,445 per year.

What you will do

• Coordinate daily truck and driver schedules to support safe, timely, and efficient transportation of materials.
• Manage communication with customers, drivers, mechanics, transportation providers, receiving facilities, and internal stakeholders regarding service changes and disruptions.
• Maintain DOT permits, equipment registrations, tolling accounts, driver qualification files, logs, Hours of Service records, and transportation documentation.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and fleet readiness activities to reduce violations and improve CSA performance.
• Track service levels, utilization, overtime, compliance, and on-time performance, implementing solutions to address operational issues.
• Support recruiting, billing coordination, reporting, customer inquiries, and workforce planning.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, dispatching, or solid waste operations.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, prioritization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service requirements, and transportation compliance standards is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
