Salary: $28.00–$30.00 per hour

hirify.global operates WPIX 11 and produces PIX11 television news broadcasts.

What you will do

  • Write news stories for various PIX11 television newscasts.
  • Edit video for the stories prepared for broadcast.
  • Coordinate live shots with reporters and photographers working in the field under deadline pressure.
  • Contribute creative ideas for broadcasts and complete other assigned newsroom duties.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a writer or producer of television news broadcasts.
  • College degree in Journalism or Mass Communications, or significant related experience.
  • Strong writing, video, news judgment, and internet skills.
  • Ability to write in an engaging, spontaneous, authoritative, and credible style.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and collaborate with others.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of ENPS systems.
