Systems Engineer - Mid (IT Infrastructure)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado; must be local to the work location. Flexible for occasional telework.

Salary: $88,289.08–$153,517.58 annually.

What you will do

• Install, configure, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot systems, servers, hardware, and software.
• Support LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure, including configuration and maintenance.
• Implement and maintain backup, failover, disaster recovery, storage, and business continuity systems.
• Enforce infrastructure security standards, monitor vulnerabilities, and implement remediation for access, encryption, and endpoint security.
• Provide Tier 2/3 infrastructure support and collaborate with developers, DevOps, network, help desk, and other technical teams.
• Document system configurations, network diagrams, troubleshooting procedures, performance, and security status.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance required and must be maintained.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years of experience, master’s degree with 3–5 years, PhD with 0–2 years, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in systems engineering, network administration, or IT infrastructure management.
• Knowledge of systems administration, Windows Server, Linux, UNIX, virtualization, containerization, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, SAN, and NAS.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, organization, and project coordination skills.

Nice to have

• Azure Administrator, CompTIA Server+, Network+, Security+, VMware VCP, or CCNA certification.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, ITIL, PowerShell, Python, Bash, CI/CD, firewalls, security appliances, or endpoint protection.
