Systems Engineer I

What you will do

• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain client servers, workstations, networks, operating systems, software, and infrastructure components.
• Manage Windows and Linux systems, virtualization platforms, cloud services, virtual machines, storage, and network configurations.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, security tools, monitoring platforms, and backup solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, network, server, security, and performance issues as an escalation point.
• Support cloud migrations, disaster recovery, backup and restore processes, vulnerability management, patching, and business continuity initiatives.
• Document client environments, maintain SOPs and service records, communicate solutions to stakeholders, and assist with technical projects and client meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in systems engineering, IT infrastructure, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Windows, Linux, virtualization technologies, system architecture, and design principles.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and security practices, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, technicians, support teams, account managers, clients, and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or AWS Solutions Architect.
• Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with SQL Server, MySQL, and data backup and recovery solutions.
