What you will do

• Build and optimize shared data platforms and infrastructure baselines to support AI/ML and data science tools.
• Configure and manage enterprise API frameworks and geospatial services (GIS) for seamless data integration.
• Implement and maintain robust infrastructure data pipelines and automated workflows.
• Enforce data governance, system access controls, and infrastructure-level security requirements.
• Troubleshoot system failures, platform bottlenecks, and configuration anomalies.
• Ensure compliance with federal security standards and DISA STIGs.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance required
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CySA+, or CCNA Security) required
• 6-9 years of systems engineering experience focused on database infrastructure or enterprise software systems.
• Proven experience with big data systems, automated ETL/ELT pipelines, or enterprise API connections.
• Strong understanding of enterprise virtualization, Linux/Windows operating systems, and network boundaries.
• Proficiency in tracking engineering tasks using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard or DHS maritime data initiatives.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and managing containerized workloads.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) or automation scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Linux+ or AWS/Azure Administrator Associate.
