Group Financial Accountant

Location: Melbourn, Royston, UK; hybrid working with a minimum of 2 office days per week

What you will do

• Prepare the monthly group consolidation, raise consolidation journals, and review consolidated numbers for accurate reporting.
• Develop ownership of the month-end close process and ensure adherence to strict reporting deadlines.
• Provide technical accounting support based on current IFRS knowledge and prepare notes and supporting materials for the annual report.
• Provide clear and timely information to auditors and coordinate responses to audit testing.
• Become a lead user of Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close, PeopleSoft Financials, IRIS Accounts Production, and MI systems.
• Oversee financial statements for UK and overseas corporate companies and liaise with overseas advisors on statutory reporting.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with ACA, CA, or ACCA certification.
• Strong current IFRS knowledge, accounting research skills, and understanding of multinational consolidation.
• Experience in audit, either as an auditor or as a key audit contact.
• Ability to quickly build an understanding of finance systems and maintain excellent financial control.
• Highly organised, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to deliver to strict deadlines.
• Sole British national; applicants must also meet UK residency requirements for security clearance, including 5 years of continuous UK residency where applicable.
