Senior Software Engineer - Frontend Developer (AI)

Location: Remote work allowed 100%; Home, Virginia. US Citizenship is required, and the role requires the ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.

Salary: $90,570.00–$178,205.19 per year

What you will do

• Design, architect, develop, integrate, test, and deploy web-based front-end applications for scalable cloud-native solutions.
• Build intuitive user interfaces and responsive, accessible web applications.
• Integrate front-end applications with cloud-native AI/ML technologies, pipelines, APIs, and other software systems.
• Apply software development lifecycle practices and Agile methodologies.
• Collaborate with data scientists, AI/ML engineers, database developers, and cloud infrastructure teams.
• Participate in customer-facing demonstrations of software technology when required.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent graduate-level experience is also listed.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.
• Experience with front-end web application design and development, UI/UX, software architecture, requirements analysis, integration, and testing.
• Understanding of systems engineering processes and digital engineering methodologies.

Nice to have

• Extensive experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, or Next.
• Experience with Vite, Webpack, Rollup, TailwindCSS, CSS-in-JS, styled-components, and UI component libraries.
• Experience with Git, GitOps, CI/CD, version control, testing, CLI tools, RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and asynchronous message queues.
• Knowledge of Python/FastAPI, SQL, Redis, authentication and authorization, RBAC, cloud and database deployment, and monitoring.
• Experience with AI/ML integrations, performance optimization, WCAG compliance, design systems, Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, SysML, or MBSE.
