Trainee Fund Accountant

Location: Southampton, United Kingdom; flexible hybrid working, with the ability to work abroad for up to three weeks per year.

What you will do

• Support the day-to-day bookkeeping of funds, management companies, and associated fund structures.
• Prepare, reconcile, and proof investor reports, statutory financial statements, and ad hoc investor requests.
• Assist with routine audit queries and supporting documentation.
• Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and evidence transaction activity.
• Maintain bookkeeping records in eFront and Microsoft Excel working paper schedules.
• Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of direct and indirect tax returns.

Requirements

• Desire to study toward a relevant professional qualification.
• Sound technical financial services knowledge, supported through internal training.
• Computer literacy and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly and build effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
