What you will do

• Develop scientific frameworks for biological performance, resilience, regeneration, and health across the lifespan.
• Design and execute research programs using advanced biology, human-relevant experimental systems, multimodal data, and AI-enabled discovery.
• Build integrated systems connecting AI, biological experimentation, and human expertise in a continuously learning discovery engine.
• Operate within Design-Build-Test-Learn workflows that combine experiments, computational methods, and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with Research Fellows, senior technical leaders, and global scientific experts to shape research strategy.
• Translate discoveries into publications, intellectual property, external collaborations, and technology opportunities.

Requirements

• PhD in artificial intelligence, machine learning, computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, computational life sciences, data science, or a related discipline.
• Research excellence demonstrated through publications, preprints, patents, open-source contributions, scientific software, or platform development.
• Expertise in AI for Science, machine learning for life sciences, multimodal biological data, predictive modeling, DBTL architectures, closed-loop learning systems, foundation models, knowledge graphs, agentic AI, or biological data architecture.
• Experience with complex biological or biomedical data streams or human-relevant biological model systems.
• Strong programming, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work at the interface of AI, biology, experimental science, and platform development.

Nice to have

• Experience developing AI-enabled discovery platforms in life sciences, pharma, biotech, medtech, autonomous labs, or frontier research groups.
• Experience with active learning, causal inference, mechanistic modeling, Bayesian optimization, foundation models, scientific knowledge graphs, or agentic research systems.
• Experience building scalable data pipelines, reproducible workflows, model evaluation frameworks, or cloud-based research platforms.
• Background in skin, scalp, dermatology, regenerative biology, aging biology, or consumer health science.
