College Intern (AI/ML)

Location: Singapore, SGP; full-time onsite position. Relocation is not available.

What you will do

• Investigate reaction pathways, molecular behaviour, catalytic mechanisms, reaction intermediates, and transition states using computational chemistry tools.
• Benchmark machine learning methods and Density Functional Theory to analyse molecular energetics, structures, and reactivity.
• Prepare input files, run simulations, analyse output data, and document computational results.
• Build, organise, and curate chemical datasets for machine learning.
• Develop regression, classification, and neural network models to predict physicochemical properties.
• Collaborate with chemists to interpret mechanistic insights and translate modelling results into material and molecule design insights.

Requirements

• Background in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of computational chemistry or quantum chemistry concepts.
• Good analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Interest in combining theoretical chemistry with machine learning approaches.
• Full-time availability for an onsite role in Singapore; relocation is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python and data analysis libraries such as NumPy, pandas, and scikit-learn.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks.
