TL;DR
Systems Administrator III (OpenStack): Administering and configuring application server clusters, web servers, and large-scale OpenStack cloud platforms with an accent on Red Hat OpenStack, Ceph, Swift, Cinder, and Cisco UCS. Focus on creating clouds, securing servers, supporting virtualization and network function virtualization platforms, and investigating and documenting exceptions for development teams.
Location: Remote within the United States; Overland Park, Kansas
Duration: 5-month contract with potential temp-to-hire conversion

What you will do
- Administer and configure application server clusters and web servers.
- Set up and maintain server security.
- Build cloud platforms using OpenStack.
- Support large-scale virtualization environments, including VMware, AIX, and virtual platforms.
- Support USC platforms and IBM storage from end to end.
- Investigate, report, and document exceptions for development teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years of experience.
- Senior-level experience with Red Hat OpenStack or Cisco UCS.
- Deep knowledge of OpenStack, including Ceph, Swift, Cinder, and Object Store.
- Experience with cloud platforms and OpenStack administration, rather than only OpenStack usage.
- Experience with network functions virtualization and large-scale operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Red Hat certification.
- Experience with Red Hat Tower and IBM storage platforms.
