Engineering Tech - Regulatory Compliance (Oil And Gas)

Location: Hybrid in Midland, Texas, with office and outside site work; travel to field sites as needed.

What you will do

• Load, enter, verify, manipulate, analyze, and report regulatory compliance data.
• Support engineering, geoscience, and operations personnel with regulatory compliance activities.
• Research proposed RRC rule changes, assess their operational impact, and communicate updates to supervisors.
• Provide guidance on current RRC rules and verify RRC enforcement processes.
• Verify wellbore diagrams in WellView before completion reports are submitted to the RRC.
• Provide user support, troubleshooting, and operational assistance for regulatory compliance tracking and verification systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Prior experience in the oil and gas industry or an equivalent industry.
• Basic knowledge of oilfield terminology and operations.
• Prior regulatory or compliance experience.
• Good computer skills and proficiency with applicable computer applications.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

Nice to have

• College degree or technical school certificate.
• 5+ years of experience in oil and gas operations, well work, regulatory compliance, engineering, or geosciences.
