Senior Facility Technician (MedTech)

Location: Suzhou, Jiangsu, China; onsite facility operations

What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed-air, and general building infrastructure systems.
• Execute and optimize preventive and corrective maintenance programs to improve reliability and minimize downtime.
• Respond to facility incidents and emergencies, perform root cause analysis, and support safe, compliant operations.
• Coordinate external contractors and service providers, monitoring work quality, safety, and delivery.
• Maintain work orders, maintenance records, and facility-management documentation.
• Support facility installations, site expansion, workplace optimization, energy efficiency, and continuous-improvement projects.

Requirements

• Technical diploma or associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Typically 5–8 years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, utilities, building services, and complex facility-system troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals and to perform physical maintenance work.
• Familiarity with safety, environmental, quality, and compliance requirements in manufacturing.
• Mandarin proficiency is required; basic English communication skills are preferred.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Facilities Management.
• Experience in medical-device, pharmaceutical, clean-room, purified-water, or other highly regulated facilities.
• Knowledge of CMMS and experience coordinating third-party vendors.
• Experience with energy management, sustainability, emergency response, or facility-upgrade projects.
• Relevant technical or safety certifications and formal emergency-response training.
