Pharmacy Clinical Pharmacist – Clinical Program Senior Advisor (Healthcare)

Location: Bloomfield, Connecticut, United States

Salary: $116,200–$193,600 annually, depending on experience and geographic location; eligible for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Execute formulary management strategies for specialty and non-specialty drug classes across pharmacy and medical benefits.
• Design and implement utilization management edits, preferred drug list strategies, retrospective reviews, and clinical interventions.
• Track drug pipelines, regulatory activity, market changes, and new product offerings to support forecasting and medication placement.
• Develop pharmacy clinical programs and evaluate existing utilization management programs for improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate matrix partners across clinical operations, analytics, finance, contracting, legal, compliance, specialty pharmacy, and other functions.
• Provide clinical education and training to pharmacy and medical management teams and support responses to client RFP inquiries.

Requirements

• Licensed Pharmacist required; PharmD preferred and an advanced degree is a plus.
• At least 3 years of commercial formulary management experience, preferably in a health plan or PBM setting.
• Experience developing end-to-end pharmacy clinical programs.
• Strategic planning and clinical program development capabilities.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based medicine, clinical literature, and standards of care.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment.
