R&D Technologist Intern (Food Technology)

What you will do

• Develop and optimize new and existing European table sauce products while meeting quality and safety standards.
• Conduct kitchen and pilot experiments, including formulation, ingredient testing, and product analysis.
• Support sensory evaluations by preparing and presenting product samples.
• Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, nutrition, regulatory, microbiology, and sensory functions.
• Document and analyze experimental data and provide recommendations for product launches and improvements.
• Contribute ideas for new products, process improvements, and sustainable future-proof process design.

Requirements

• Current Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Food Science, Food Technology, Engineering, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or another Natural Sciences discipline.
• EU working rights are required through EU citizenship, study in the Netherlands, or a relevant student work visa.
• EU students must be enrolled at a Dutch university for at least 50% of the internship; non-EU students must be enrolled for the full internship duration.
• Fluent written and verbal English is required. Dutch is not required.
• Coursework in data handling and statistics is required; analytical, communication, self-starter, and independent working skills are expected.
• Research and laboratory experience is highly desirable.
