Scientific Manager Cell and Gene Therapy Analytics (LNP)

Location: Leiden, South Holland, Netherlands; 32–40 hours per week

Base pay: €68,600–€119,600 per year

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a complementary Cell and Gene Therapy Analytics team developing analytical methods for viral vector and lipid nanoparticle products.
• Act as the technical analytical lead for LNP-based product development and strengthen product development strategy.
• Develop and implement biophysical and separation-based methods using liquid chromatography, light scattering, and capillary electrophoresis.
• Build method lifecycle management from development using AQbD principles through validation for product release and characterization.
• Collaborate with scientists across process development, quality, and regulatory functions.
• Author and review presentations, reports, regulatory filing documents, and patents.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience after a PhD, or at least 8 years of experience after a Master’s degree, in analytical chemistry or life sciences.
• In-depth knowledge of biophysical and separation-based technologies, including liquid chromatography, light scattering, and capillary electrophoresis.
• Scientific expertise in viral vectors and LNP-based product development in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Confirmed people leadership experience and practical laboratory skills.
• Strong understanding of analytical method development principles and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Work based in Leiden, Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with clinical cell and gene therapy product or method development according to ICH Q2.
• Experience with quality systems such as GMP.
