Cyber Data Scientist IV (AI/ML): Analyzing large cybersecurity datasets and developing data-driven solutions for vulnerability, auditing, authorization, configuration management, and information assurance reporting with an accent on statistical analysis, data transformation, visualization, and cybersecurity applications of AI/ML. Focus on building dynamic risk-management visualizations, modernizing legacy Excel tools, integrating security data, and supporting anomaly detection and threat-hunting use cases.
Location: Chantilly, Virginia, United States; onsite only with no remote or telework. Customer core hours are 09:00–15:00, Monday–Friday.
Salary: $112,093.95–$194,909.63 projected annual compensation.

What you will do
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large cybersecurity datasets using analytical, statistical, and programming techniques.
- Analyze vulnerability scanning, auditing, authorization, and configuration management data.
- Transform, visualize, and report actionable insights and information assurance compliance metrics using tools such as Tableau.
- Modernize legacy Microsoft Excel visualization and situational-awareness tools into data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with risk management teams to integrate, automate, and dynamically visualize risk-management activities.
- Support cybersecurity data-driven solutions and customer reporting.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience with a BS/BA, 6–8 years with an MS/MA, or 3–5 years with a Ph.D.
- Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Must work onsite in Chantilly, Virginia, with customer core hours from 09:00 to 15:00, Monday–Friday.
- Must possess DoD 8570 IAT or IAM certification, or obtain it within six months of contract start.
- Deep understanding of statistics and analysis; experience applying statistical analysis to large datasets.
- Proficiency in AI/ML, programming including Python, databases, data structures, data architectures, data transformation, and data visualization tools.
Nice to have
- STEM bachelor’s degree and experience applying AI/ML to security problems such as anomaly detection and threat hunting.
- Knowledge of adversarial machine learning, model development, explainability, interpretability, security data pipelines, and feature engineering.
- Experience with AWS, ServiceNow, Splunk, relational database management systems, EMR, and SageMaker.
- Familiarity with information assurance processes, the RMF process, and cybersecurity work supporting the IC or DoD.
- Experience briefing senior customer personnel and prioritizing multiple customer requests.
