Senior Facility Engineer

Location: Suzhou, Jiangsu, China; onsite role with up to 10% domestic or regional travel

What you will do

• Lead engineering oversight of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, compressed air, and other utility systems.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs supporting manufacturing uptime and reducing operational risk.
• Provide technical leadership for facility infrastructure, renovation, and capital improvement projects from design through handover.
• Ensure facility and utility operations comply with local regulations, corporate standards, EHS requirements, and audit expectations.
• Manage contractors and external service providers, including scopes, performance, and costs.
• Drive improvements in system reliability, energy efficiency, sustainability, emergency response, and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities, or related Engineering discipline.
• 6–8 years of progressive experience in facilities engineering, maintenance, or utilities management in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical device, or another regulated industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, utilities, and infrastructure supporting manufacturing operations.
• Experience managing contractors, service providers, and facility-related projects.
• Working knowledge of EHS, regulatory, and compliance requirements, with proficiency in CMMS, technical documentation, and standard engineering tools.
• Mandarin proficiency is required; working proficiency in English is preferred.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering or Facilities Management.
• Experience with GMP or regulated manufacturing environments and capital infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of energy management, sustainability, or reliability engineering.
• Professional engineering, facilities management, safety, PMP, or CFM certification.
