Engineer, Mechanical

Location: Tianjin, China; onsite work including outdoor and production-shop activities

hirify.global's JLG business develops access equipment such as mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles, and accessories.

What you will do

• Design mechanical structures for aerial work platform products based on internal and external customer requirements.
• Prepare layouts, engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
• Design casting, sheet metal, machined, and welded components.
• Provide technical support for prototypes, pilot builds, production, troubleshooting, and localization.
• Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability.
• Support purchasing, quality, production, and aftermarket teams while communicating with suppliers and customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering.
• At least 5 years of mechanical design experience.
• Required 3D CAD skills; Creo experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5.
• Experience with the GB certification process.
• Strong verbal presentation and written communication skills, plus proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
