Engineer, Mechanical Design

Location: On-site in Taicang, Jiangsu, China, five days per week

What you will do

• Develop, upgrade, and maintain AP Chiller products.
• Perform concept design and technical selection based on customer requirements.
• Create detail designs, 3D layouts, 2D drawings, bills of materials, BIM deliverables, and product engineering database documentation.
• Provide technical support for original designs, design adjustments, and engineering changes.
• Support testing of new components, assemblies, and complete systems.
• Contribute to VAVE projects, engineering analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of general design principles and fundamental engineering concepts.
• Ability to work as an individual contributor under supervision and complete assigned engineering tasks.
• Effective spoken and written English communication.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.

Nice to have

• Experience with Pro/E or Creo 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Knowledge of finite element analysis, structural strength analysis, and related calculations.
• Cabling skills.
• Manufacturing knowledge in sheet metal, tubing, machining, casting, and assembly.
• Experience in the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry, including CET-6 certification.
