TL;DR
Assistant Director of Recruiting & Business Development (Higher Education and Professional Development): Developing recruitment and business development strategies for working-professional engineering programs, professional development courses, and sponsored events with an accent on lead generation, strategic sales, and organizational partnerships. Focus on analyzing target markets, managing CRM campaigns, coordinating recruiting events, and expanding relationships with industry organizations across Texas and beyond.

Location: Main Campus, College Station, Texas, United States; 30–40% travel required, including routine visits to Dallas, Austin, Houston, and Los Alamos, New Mexico.

What you will do

  • Create and deploy strategic recruiting plans for working-professional students and promote professional development programs, speaking events, and sponsored initiatives.
  • Identify prospects and new business opportunities through sales strategies, market analysis, networking, and competitor research.
  • Build relationships with leaders of target organizations and maintain an industry contact network through professional associations.
  • Develop and sell online and in-person professional development courses to individuals, associations, and companies.
  • Coordinate recruiting events, lead-generation activities, and collaboration with marketing staff.
  • Manage CRM campaigns, lead tracking, reporting, account metrics, budgets, and admissions committee participation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Six years of related experience.
  • Strong organization, communication, presentation, interpersonal, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Knowledge of project management from conception through delivery, including timely and budget-conscious execution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, electronic communication, internet, and web-based applications.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide documentation for federal I-9 employment eligibility verification.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in an applicable field.
  • Experience in industry sales or business development.
  • Ready access to a major airport for frequent travel.
