Financial Examiner - EIC (Insurance)

Location: Remote; work from home anywhere in the United States, with flexibility to travel.

Compensation: $94,400–$178,800 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Perform risk-focused financial examinations to assess insurance company solvency and compliance with statutes and regulations.
• Serve as Examiner-In-Charge on examinations of significant size and complexity.
• Review examination work papers and evaluate insurance company and healthcare organization operations.
• Analyze financial statements, operating reports, records, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and supervise reports, exhibits, and supporting schedules describing financial condition and compliance.
• Recommend and document actions to protect solvency and address questionable financial conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 10 years of experience as a financial examiner, including serving as EIC on examinations of significant size and complexity.
• Insurance industry experience is required.
• Certified Financial Examiner (CFE) certification is required. CPA, CPA candidate, CIA, or CIA candidate credentials are advantageous.
• Experience with TeamMate, ACL/Access, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with strong analytical, audit, presentation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, build teams, and maintain ethical and professional standards.
