Tax Manager / Tax Senior Manager - Accounting & Reporting (Energy)

Location: On-site in Columbus, Ohio, United States

Salary: $116,000–$145,000 for Tax Manager or $136,000–$175,000 for Tax Senior Manager, plus an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provisions under ASC 740.
• Calculate effective tax rates and prepare income tax disclosures for 10-K, 10-Q, GAAP, and FERC reporting.
• Review internal control policies and procedures, including SOX control processes.
• Manage and develop tax staff, coordinate training, and oversee external consultants and contractors.
• Support tax forecasting, compliance, audits, tax planning, legislative impact analysis, and regulatory matters.
• Evaluate tax systems and lead continuous process improvement initiatives while communicating analysis to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Tax Manager: six years of total business, finance, or accounting experience, including at least three years in tax.
• Tax Senior Manager: eight years of total business, finance, or accounting experience, including at least three years in tax.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or CIA is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Columbus, Ohio.
