Location: United States; compensation range applies across offices in Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, and Massachusetts. The role follows a principally in-person Workplace for Your Day model with flexibility determined with the supervisor and team. Client and firm-wide travel, including overnight stays, may be required.
Salary: $100,000–$168,000 per year

What you will do
- Review partnership, corporate, and individual tax returns, estimated payments, extensions, and federal and state tax audits.
- Determine tax objectives, scope, and methodology while advising client management on business impacts and solutions.
- Identify federal and state tax credits and opportunities arising from tax law changes.
- Manage engagement economics, including billing, realization, and collections, while leveraging CCH Axcess and related technology.
- Build client relationships through meetings, networking, proposals, and sales calls.
- Supervise and develop one to two associates per engagement and contribute to internal training, recruiting, mentoring, and thought leadership initiatives.
Requirements
- At least five years of public accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- CPA or Bar License required.
- Strong tax experience with private equity-funded partnerships and public companies in the energy industry.
- Experience in M&A transactions or a demonstrated interest in gaining transaction experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Oil and gas experience.
- ASC 740 and public company experience.
- Bilingual Japanese and English or Chinese and English candidates may qualify for an exception to the sponsorship restriction.
