Location: Tokyo, Japan; officially remote full-time from home with approximately 25% travel to offices or other locations as needed

What you will do
- Develop and execute the Japan Medical Plan with the Executive Medical Director.
- Align territory plans with the global medical plan and collaborate with the local Field Medical team on KOL engagement.
- Support clinical trial operations by identifying suitable sites, improving patient enrollment, and engaging investigators.
- Provide balanced clinical and scientific information to healthcare professionals and respond to unsolicited questions.
- Plan and implement advisory boards, educational initiatives, and scientific information updates.
- Share emerging clinical and scientific insights with internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with company policies and SOPs.
Requirements
- Advanced clinical degree in Japan, such as MD or MD/PhD, is required.
- More than 5 years of clinical experience in general pediatrics or inherited metabolic diseases with Japan Pediatric Board certification, or 5–7 years of experience in metabolic diseases and/or neurological disorders.
- Business-level English and native-level Japanese reading and writing skills are required.
- Strong understanding of Japan's healthcare delivery system and its impact on patient and medical care.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, presentation, organization, prioritization, and territory management skills.
- Approximately 25% travel is required, including overnight travel as needed.
