Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN - Merrimack Family Medicine, Tewksbury (Outpatient Nursing)

Location: Merrimack Family Medicine, 600 Clark Road, Suite 3, Tewksbury, Massachusetts 01876. Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., plus one rotating Saturday every other month from 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Salary: $30.00–$33.59 per hour. Sign-on bonus eligible.

What you will do

• Provide outpatient nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Implement nursing care plans, interventions, medication administration, treatments, and clinical procedures.
• Deliver direct patient care while maintaining patient rights, dignity, safety, and continuity of care.
• Assess and manage pain, document interventions and patient responses, and report changes in condition.
• Educate patients and families about medications, treatments, activities of daily living, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, clinical managers, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Experience depends on unit requirements and patient-care needs.
• Knowledge of the nursing process, pharmacology, medication administration, and age-appropriate patient care.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding clinical environment involving standing, walking, patient transfers, bodily substances, hazardous materials, and emergency situations.
