RN, Clinical Nurse - MedSurg/Intermediate Care Unit (D3)

Location: Lowell General Hospital, D3 Intermediate Care Step Down Unit, Main Campus, Lowell, Massachusetts. On-site overnight schedule: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 36 hours per week.

Pay range: $40.53–$62.82 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide direct nursing care to patients and their families.
• Apply the nursing process in accordance with established policies, procedures, and practices.
• Monitor patient care and communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team.
• Work in the D3 Intermediate Care Step Down Unit during overnight shifts.
• Lift, turn, and maneuver patients while maintaining safe care practices.

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts RN licensure in good standing is required.
• 12 months to less than 3 years of RN experience is required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification is required.
• BSN is strongly preferred; candidates with an associate degree in nursing may be considered and are encouraged to enroll in a BSN program within one year of hire.
• Experience in telemetry or an intermediate care setting is preferred; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and perform prolonged standing and walking, with occasional lifting of 30–35 pounds and patient turning.
