TL;DR

Location: Washington, DC, with coverage across Maryland and DC clinic locations

Salary: $66,515.73–$102,336.00 per year

What you will do

  • Assess patients, document health status and interventions, review clinical data, and report findings to providers.
  • Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for oncology and hematology patients.
  • Prepare and administer medications, blood products, and other therapies under physician supervision.
  • Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, maintain central lines, and document treatments accurately.
  • Coordinate appointments, diagnostic procedures, referrals, medication refills, triage calls, and patient flow.
  • Provide patient and family education, psychosocial support, and interdisciplinary care coordination.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program; BSN preferred.
  • Current RN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • 0–3 years of nursing experience; at least one year of oncology experience is preferred.
  • Ability to meet continuing education requirements and work in an oncology clinic environment involving possible exposure to communicable diseases, cytotoxic agents, and ionizing radiation.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

  • At least one year of oncology nursing experience.
  • Experience programming, cleaning, maintaining, and documenting portable ambulatory infusion pumps.
