Registered Nurse-Amarillo, Tx (Oncology) (Infusion Services): Providing professional nursing care and coordinating treatment support for oncology patients in a full-time clinic role with an accent on patient assessment, education, triage, and continuity of care. Focus on managing medication requests, coordinating diagnostics and referrals, supporting patients and families, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team.

Location: Onsite at 1826 Point West Parkway, Amarillo, Texas 79124. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; no weekends, on-call shifts, or major holidays.

What you will do

  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of oncology patient care.
  • Assess patients’ health status, current condition, medical history, and family needs.
  • Provide patient and family education, instructional materials, psychosocial support, and referrals to community resources.
  • Facilitate clinical operations, consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic procedures, referrals, and future appointments.
  • Manage medication refill requests, triage patient calls, and document relevant information in patient charts.
  • Coordinate communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams while supporting LPNs/LVNs and medical assistants.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program; BSN preferred.
  • At least one year of nursing experience; entry-, mid-, and senior-level candidates may be considered.
  • Current RN license with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work in an oncology/hematology clinic environment with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, handle and lift patients, and occasionally lift or carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
