Cybersecurity Engineer SME (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Support Assessment & Authorization activities and provide cybersecurity engineering expertise for enterprise mission systems.
• Develop, update, and manage eMASS entries and coordinate RMF A&A packages.
• Maintain and report on certification and authorization schedules, package status, and system registrations in ITIPS.
• Analyze DoD, USSF, DIA, and DISA cybersecurity directives and assess their impact on mission system security.
• Document, track, and close vulnerability and compliance findings through VMS processes.
• Contribute to security testing, penetration testing, control validation, and revalidation of accredited systems.

Requirements

• 15+ years of cybersecurity experience supporting USSF, DoD, or related federal organizations.
• BA or BS degree.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with a current investigation.
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 IAT/IAM certification.
• Hands-on experience with eMASS and familiarity with RMF protocols.
• Knowledge of USSF Assessment & Authorization procedures.

Nice to have

• CISSP, GIAC, or equivalent advanced cybersecurity certification.
• Experience with new-start RMF, cATO certification, and transitioning systems from Unclassified to TS to ATO.
• Experience supporting national-priority systems.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.
