Principal Strategy & Innovation Consultant (Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid role requiring three days per week in the office in Portland, Oregon; Renton, Washington; Boise, Idaho; Salt Lake City, Utah; or Fargo, North Dakota. Candidates must live within commuting distance or be willing to relocate.

Salary: $148,750–$201,250 expected hiring range in Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Idaho; $146,150–$197,732 expected hiring range in North Dakota. Bonus target: 20%.

What you will do

• Lead complex, high-impact strategy engagements and support corporate strategy and innovation planning.
• Translate organizational goals into initiatives, timelines, project scopes, and actionable execution plans.
• Conduct quantitative analysis, including market sizing, financial projections, ROI forecasts, and market trend assessment.
• Track healthcare and market trends and communicate implications for the organization and business lines.
• Present insights and recommendations to senior leaders and facilitate strategy workshops and decision meetings.
• Manage multiple complex projects and workstreams while coordinating priorities with stakeholders and executive sponsors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Healthcare, or a related field, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is strongly preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in business strategy, management consulting, healthcare strategy, or a comparable field.
• Principal-level consulting experience or a similar background in investment banking or an in-house strategy team.
• Strong research, quantitative analysis, qualitative synthesis, written communication, and oral communication skills.
• Executive-level communication skills, including content development and C-suite presentations.
• Experience developing project plans, managing multiple workstreams, advising senior executives, and translating strategy into execution.

• Familiarity with healthcare industry trends and payer strategies.
• Experience using AI tools and technologies to improve productivity and decision-making.
