Technical Solutioning Engineer (Cloud Architecture)

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey, United States; primarily office-based

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain technical architecture roadmaps and technology strategies for strategic programs.
• Lead end-to-end architecture for critical business applications, regions, countries, or technical domains.
• Translate business strategy into actionable engineering solutions across the delivery lifecycle.
• Define current, transitional, and target-state architectures covering cloud, hosting, security, data, integration, DevOps, automation, and application lifecycle services.
• Partner with business stakeholders, analysis teams, engineering groups, and governance boards to ensure feasibility, standards compliance, and strategic alignment.
• Evaluate technologies, deliver recommendations, and maintain the architecture repository of standards, best practices, and tools.

Requirements

• 10–15+ years of experience in application engineering and technology management, preferably in large global enterprises or financial services and insurance.
• Experience with modern engineering practices, cloud-native architecture, scalable software systems, and large-scale technology migrations.
• Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud services for secure, scalable application platforms.
• Hands-on experience with open-source frameworks, microservices architecture, Angular or React, Java or J2EE, relational databases, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business partners and senior leaders and convert requirements into technical roadmaps.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Generative AI from application and security perspectives.
• Some software development experience.
• TOGAF, AWS, CISSP, CCC, or SAFe for Architects certification.
